| Weeble's Lumpy Leg - and another story | 14 Nov 2003 21:13 GMT | 9 |
Weeble goes back to TED this afternoon to have the lump looked at (again) and to see if they want to do a biopsy. The lump has gotten smaller in diameter, but harder & I think it sticks out farther than before, too. Also, last night when he (finally) clamed down for a nap on my lap ...

| Am I Crazy? Cat Stroller | 14 Nov 2003 19:51 GMT | 26 |
Am I crazy for wanting to get Oliver one of those kitty walk cat strollers? http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=9183&N=1+113133&in _merch=1 I always think he looks so sad when we take Boone out for his evening

| Swollen Paw | 14 Nov 2003 05:37 GMT | 29 |
Right, just when Lola and I had gotten through the diarrhea debacle, now there's something else going on that's making me anxious. Today I noticed that her left paw had ballooned up to twice the size of her right. She was limping. After enduring the most hideous day I think I've ...

| Customer complaint, UK-style | 14 Nov 2003 05:27 GMT | 5 |
Someone (an American) posted this to an email list I'm on. I have no idea whether it's actually true - maybe someone from the UK can verify? - but it is certainly amusing! It even has a paragraph toward the end that makes it on-topic for this ng. :)

| Berfert Don't Feel So Good | 14 Nov 2003 02:21 GMT | 24 |
At first I put it down to moping about Rascal's death. Berfert had stopped eating as much as normal. The other day I ran my hand over his back and he felt thin and rough. He was mildly interested in the his favorite foods, but didn't eat more than a bite or two at a time. I

| You want me to go out in that? | 14 Nov 2003 01:33 GMT | 5 |
I get up this morning to have a cigarette and let The Moose out. I open the door and step back in awe of the gale-force winds *whooshing* outside my door. A quick look at the neighbors' yards shows evidence of deck furniture morphing into lawn furniture in the night. Everything is ...

| Modes of following | 14 Nov 2003 00:16 GMT | 3 |
Betty seems to have two modes of following me around the house: Eager and Discreet. When she's in an Eager following mood, she'll precede me everywhere I go, trying to anticipate which direction I'll head, and keeping a few

| one of those special ones | 14 Nov 2003 00:08 GMT | 14 |
Sesame is an old girl these days, she's heading towards 19, so she doesn't have a whole lot of stories. But she's one of those cats that I'll always know as being the most special, just because she is. I love how she'll come running when I go outside and call her, even if just

| kitten across street breaking my heart | 13 Nov 2003 20:56 GMT | 14 |
The neighbor girl across the street has gotten a kitten. Its a little orange eared and tailed siamease like cat. It is an outside cat because the lady of the house is allergic. But it is 4am and the little guy is sitting outside their door meowing, I remember when my scat was a ...

If you live in the USA, take a couple of minutes to write to your representative in Congress to ask him or her to support this important piece of legislation: https://secure2.convio.net/aspca/site/Advocacy?id=422

| "Emergency" purrs pay off! | 12 Nov 2003 21:16 GMT | 13 |
Thanks to everyone who sent purrs. May I offer further proof that they work? Today I received an e-mail from someone in the "artist" department at the opera house, telling me that the box office has confirmed that I will have tickets waiting for me. I had sent an e-mail

| "Let me SHOW you what you can do with this!" | 12 Nov 2003 21:08 GMT | 5 |
I think I have heard of this behavior before, but seeing it just cracks me up. The vet from whom we adopted Kona and Sabastian (f/k/a Avery) recommends leaving out Hill's dried food and feeding the cats Hill's

| Cat Site | 12 Nov 2003 19:56 GMT | 4 |
This morning my Mom forwarded this fun little clip. Includes some cute kitten pix, and some non-cat pics with definite "awww" factor. Of course she sent it to me since she knew I'd enjoy anything with Little Bit's name in the title.

| What to do to a sleeping cat | 12 Nov 2003 19:47 GMT | 24 |
I wonder what one should do to a sleeping cat? I've been facing this dilemma for as long as I've had Betty. Sometimes, I feel like I should let her sleep as soundly as possible, and I tiptoe around her and do everything quietly.

| Lola Update | 12 Nov 2003 19:12 GMT | 9 |
Hey gang! So happy to report that my little munchkin got a clean bill of health from her doctor yesterday! Stool sample came out completely void of anything scary. He seems to think it was her diet switch, but after ruminating about it all day
