We had some fun last night with Gizmo, the red bug and the digital camera.
Consequently I have uploaded some photos to the RPCA Yahoo group
pages.....the address is

Formula for hand-raising kittens15 Sep 2003 21:02 GMT4
Just in case anyone else ends up hand-raising a baby kitty I thought I
should post the recipe for the baby-kitty formula I have always used. I
believe it is superior to the stuff you find at pet stores.
To each 12-ounce can of unsweetened evaporated goat's milk, add one VERY
Cat Food15 Sep 2003 20:19 GMT1
I was at the small family owned market down the street the other day when I
picked up some cat food in a foil pouch.  (I forget the name of it.)
Imagine my surprise when I got to the check-out and the man there started
reading the ingredients on the pouch and he said to me, "If I ...
Bleh15 Sep 2003 12:39 GMT2
Miss Kitty didn't come two days ago. It was raining, pardon the pun,
cats and dogs. It's yucky, miserable and wet outside. At least where
she is, she knows the area and it just doesn't seem fair to move her
when it's nasty.
PING: Jen D15 Sep 2003 05:49 GMT5
I'm having trouble playing some video files on Real Player and Windows
Media. I have the most updated ones. RP plugin just won't load and WMP says
compressed with a codec that is not supported, but it is supposed to be able
to. Mac OS X which I know you have too. Any ideas for help?

Frank was rolling around on the bed, ending up in a yawn, and Nikki got into
her tent but forgot to bring her tail. The four last pictures at

Three Blind Mice...BW14 Sep 2003 21:51 GMT6
It is very definitely Autumn. The days are sunny but cool, with a few
days here and there of moisture. The wildlife is preparing against the
coming season of winter. Mice have decided the heat ducts in my car
are perfect mouse tunnels. So we set mouse traps in the car. But
Purrs and prayers14 Sep 2003 17:34 GMT7
Have been going out to those in need from my house. For the cats, the
d*gs, the skunk, the moms and dads and sibs, the jobs, for everyone who
is needing comfort and support these days. We've been in and out over the
past few weeks and while I haven't responded I have thought of ...
Banana Simian: RB14 Sep 2003 17:31 GMT18
This is a sad morning.
I'd written about Banana's respiratory problems, which briefly turned into
pneumonia.  While antibiotics had cleared the latter up very quickly, the
labored, wheezy breathing remained.  Daily respiratory treatments failed to
A Tragedy in our Street14 Sep 2003 09:43 GMT16
This morning the trio of B and C and FluffySP got a run outside between
the showers.   They rushed down the street to play with Casper who is
adored by Tomasina's teenage daughter.
As I am now paranoid about the road I followed them to bring them home.
Introducing!!!14 Sep 2003 06:05 GMT5
Miss Kitty. She belongs to a friend of mine that is trying to rehome
her for various reasons. We're picking her up tomorrow afternoon.

Persia is my (former) Dog14 Sep 2003 04:19 GMT4
It hit me the other night.  While she's masked in cats clothing, Persia has
got to be my RB mutt dog, Sampson.
I should have seen it from the start.  She's protective of me, as he always
was.  She growls if she hears a strange noise, sounding much like a panther
Cat Kisses14 Sep 2003 03:37 GMT12
Does anybody elses cat try and kiss them?
Gizmo does this all the time, she never actually touches my face, stops
about an inch short...whenever she uses me as a human cushion, when she
comes inside when I get home.....basically everytime we see her after being

now.
He even has his own webpage!  Read in his diary how a rescued cat has fared,
Tony gets sat13 Sep 2003 16:38 GMT8
The first thing you need to realize about my dear Tony is that he does
NOT live with d*gs.  Moreover, his only exposure to those hideous things
has been  ones that he generally could be considered to outweigh.
Hence, he heretofore has also not been afraid of them, but merely held ...
