Warning, Very Sad18 Sep 2003 11:29 GMT17
We were in the city today, driving down a busy 4-lane street.DH caught  a
glimpse of a small cat lying by the curb; he thought it was rolling around,
like kittens do when they're playing outside, and said, "That cat is going to
get hit by a car if it doesn't play somewhere else."  ...

purrs for the "one eyed" stray cat18 Sep 2003 06:51 GMT6
Hello. Earlier tonight I had separated my two cats since my Male cat
Andy has to have a separate diet from my Female Mary, Any how I went
into Mary's "room" to feed her, she was in the window sill and didn't
even notice me which she always does and runs out of the room. Any how
Cats Farting???18 Sep 2003 05:11 GMT13
This is a bit foul......
Gizmo and I were watching TV last night, we were home alone!! Then I heard
this "pop" noise and shortly after a strange smell. I knew it wasn't me and
since we were the only ones there I figured it must be Gizmo.
More bed-making fun18 Sep 2003 04:25 GMT2
I'm used to having Amelia help me make the bed. I'll get the sheets and
blanket arranged, then Amelia jumps up on the bed before I pull up the
comforter. She provides a cute meowy-lump that offers up sound effects
whenever I pet the lump.
Follow-up to "need sticking purrs"18 Sep 2003 04:25 GMT6
Thanks everyone for the well wishes for Jake the stray cat.  He went
to his new Paw today.  It felt like giving a child away even though
I've adopted out fosters before.  I guess he has a special place in my
heart since he doesn't seem to have had a home before and he was so
Word from BlueBird18 Sep 2003 04:25 GMT5
LittleBit is still hanging in there, and has even rallied somewhat.  For
a week or so, she wouldn't eat, and stayed hidden all the time.  Since
she had been what my cat group people call a "Velcro cat" (sticking to
her meowmy) before, this really upset BlueBird.  Now she is eating ...
Purrs for Phoebe and her new furbabies17 Sep 2003 23:03 GMT15
Yesterday after a very long marathon effort Phoebe produced TEN new
furbabies - she had six in an hour and a half, then had a rest for over an
hour (I thought she had finished!!) and then produced the other four - we
are all recovering today.
i hate to ask but..17 Sep 2003 20:08 GMT16
could i get some "get-well" purrs?  I got a cold that went overnight from a
minor case of the sniffles to a full-blown head/chest cold.  I had to miss
school today (spca trip day) and likely tomorrow (surgery day) as well..
this really sucks!
Abi's Blssom17 Sep 2003 10:30 GMT1
Today Blossom (previously known as Miss Kitty) settled down and
decided to be her normally known self. I think I said I have known her
for a couple years now. She belonged to my friend, who adopted
Blossoms kitten and then Blossom went to my friend's fathers, he
To post or not...so many people:)17 Sep 2003 04:53 GMT5
Several years ago a man whom I held highly tipped me to this group. A
very smart, helpful guy for occasional pc probs. I see a couple of
names from back then, ranging from his in Chi to NZ:)
Anyway, I want to know whether I'm being mean to Bert. Bert, who was
my trip to the birdseed store17 Sep 2003 01:08 GMT5
Had one of the funniest outings ever yesterday.  I went to the Wild Birds
Unlimited store for a very few birdseed items (now that cat stuff seems to
monopolize my paycheck) yesterday.  The owners have a rather plump
tortiseshell, Lucy, as their store kitty.  I always try to say ...
Goin' Buggy16 Sep 2003 13:19 GMT12
My fearsome Bughunter Spicey is in a tizzy this AM. A fly had the nerve to park
itself a few inches from the ceiling, much fratic meowing* occurred including a
new one I hadn't heard before.
Satuday she caught and ate a slightly cooked moth (it had spent some time
Raining16 Sep 2003 10:37 GMT3
Persia INSISTED on being put out in her kitty walk this morning.  The ground
was all wet, so was her kitty hammock.  But she just had to go outside.  So
I put her out there, then went to read on the sofa.  I fell asleep!
Woke up to hear rain pattering down on the roof and jumped up, ...
Cat Antics....16 Sep 2003 07:26 GMT2
On Sunday morning, our sleep in day, Gizmo decided at 5.30am that she
"absolutely had to go outside" and in no uncertain terms let is
know....meowing, then scratching at the door, then jumping on the bed and
just sitting the meowing....so outside I put her...and back to sleep. About
