re sad warning20 Sep 2003 13:08 GMT2
It didn't just bring tears to my eyes they're streaming down
my facenot only because cosmic died, that is sad enough
but to think of the poor little thing all on its own and trying to survive
it truly breaks your heart, at least she didn't die unloved, without
The Balloon Monster20 Sep 2003 09:04 GMT4
I turned 46 yesterday (Sept. 17th), and one of my co-workers gave me
a helium balloon as a present.  It is of the cushion-shaped plastic
variety, with a cartoon frog on it and the words "Happy Birthday!".
After work, I took the balloon home to see how my cats would react to
If I didn't know better20 Sep 2003 08:58 GMT2
Ok, the scene is we're trying to keep our surviving feral cats out of
the clutches of the neighbor from hell, which includes keeping them well
fed, so they won't be so interested in the offerings of his baited trap or
worse.  For chow call, I whistle the march song of the French ...
Cats and boxes revisited20 Sep 2003 08:36 GMT12
I brought home a lovely box from the post office again. As usual, Nikki fell
in love with it, and snuggles in it every so often. There is some lovely
crinkly packing paper on the bottom of the box, too, to dig down under.
Surprisingly, she doesn't use it as a litter box.

Hi Al, Once Again
Just a quick post to let you guys know that this is my new
identity....apparently changing your screen name is the best way to avoid
getting viruses. I didn't realise this until today when I was hit pretty
Cat Show - judging 20 Sep 2003 00:01 GMT7
Several weeks ago I was asked to be a stand-by judge for the domestic
section at a show held in the next town to me - I thought why not the
chances of the visiting Australian judge not doing it was very remote -
wrong.
Dad update19 Sep 2003 23:21 GMT5
Talked to Mom & Dad last Fri (sorry 'bout the delay my brain is spacey), Dad is
home (at my sister's) and is going for short walks. He said the pain isn't too
bad but is having problems breathing. They're going to try more Lasix (sp?).
Thanks again for purrs and lit candles.

Stardom for Abelard!19 Sep 2003 19:06 GMT11
I'm guessing that most of you don't like this website (I mentioned
it before, nobody responded), but it makes me laugh, scream, roll
on the floor, and even sometimes wet my pants. I've been sending
pics forever, hoping to get one posted, and they finally gave
Another Hazel Update(long)19 Sep 2003 07:42 GMT7
You know I really appreciate all the support I've gotten from all of you.  I
may not be around as much as I used to, but I think of all of you nearly
every day.  Hopefully my life will settle down (finally) in the next few
weeks and I can get back to being a proper Catslave.
The Neighborhood Battle (LONG)19 Sep 2003 02:01 GMT12
It has been a long, difficult time for me, both this summer, these
past two weeks, and with roots in years ago.
My neighborhood has been falling apart.  And I have been trying to
keep it together, especially to help the animals.
new floor19 Sep 2003 01:49 GMT9
I swear these little hairy varmint critters are going to be the death of
me yet; they're going to tickle me to death!
BIL John and I have spent the last couple of days installing a highly
polished marble floor in Chez Yehudah. It's nothing at all like the
ISOBEL18 Sep 2003 19:30 GMT22
Where, oh where, will Isobel land?  The newsies here are probably right
when they say just south of Cape Hatteras, at Morehead City.  However, I
think it will land where it usually does, in Wilmington NC.  So far,
every hurricane that hit the area since we moved here six years ago ...
Report on "Where-Else"Silver ButtonWood18 Sep 2003 18:17 GMT3
Most news lately seems to be kinda depressing....nasty neighbors, deceased
pets and accident victims, money-laundering DH's, actually makes the
"farting cats" thread seem cheerful! Here's a happy report from me
purrrrsonally: made the monthly visit to "Where-Else" to pay bill the ...
Purr request18 Sep 2003 17:50 GMT21
The latest round of layoffs has started at the company I work in. This
time, our organization is directly affected. I do not know yet if I'll
have a job by the end of the day, but I know some folks who already know.
Purrs for me and my colleagues would be most appreciated.
