OT (kinda): Shopping for an electric blanket22 Sep 2003 04:24 GMT8
It's not really off-topic, since the cats enjoy the electric blanket more
than we do... :)
I'm shopping for a new electric blanket and I remember seeing one
advertised that didn't have any hard wires. They said, IIRC, that the
Microsoft Emails OT22 Sep 2003 04:21 GMT16
I am being inundated with Microsoft emails with subject headings such as
Security Patch, Bug and many with virus messages deleted by my server.
Is anyone else having this problem?   I rang my server but they said
there was nothing they could do about spam emails and wanted to know ...
Happy news22 Sep 2003 02:47 GMT10
Hi pussycats
This morning I have been loudly purring.  I have been purring because I am now happy that I allowed
my Meowmie to take lots of photos of me during the spring and summer.  When she took them, I did not
know that she was planning to submit any of them to any photography ...
Burmese and heart problems22 Sep 2003 00:36 GMT5
I posted this to the health+behav group, and someone suggested that I post
it here as well.
My cat Morag, who is a Burmese, was diagnosed with severe HCM by my regular
vet about a month ago after having undergone an ultrasound.  On Thursday she
Persia wants outside21 Sep 2003 23:36 GMT1
A co-worker just called me with a problem with our software update and I had
to walk her through some things since the programmer on call was of no help.
While I was talking to her, Persia was meowing loudly, wanting outside in
her Kitty Walk.  So I took Persia outside, all the ...
Harvey and the doggy treat21 Sep 2003 23:24 GMT3
Eddie is a bit of a spaz about his treats. So sometimes his attempts to grab
them cause them to go off course. One time, a bit of a treat bounced off and
landed right between the legs of the sprawled out Harvey. Eddie took one look
at the treat, then back way off and 'asked' me for ...
And when I came home21 Sep 2003 21:43 GMT2
Whistled and set the food out for Bootsie, our new mother, and White
Stocking this morning.  WS showed and went through *flop down, roll around,
scratch my head, my tummy, pet my back while I rub against your legs*
greeting ritual.  Bootsie, however, didn't show for roll call and, ...
gibberish and patches21 Sep 2003 19:04 GMT2
HI All,    I too am getting all these  between 14 and 20 at a time,
and being very new to this I would innocently have opened attachments
eept for the fact that my son lectured me about such things when
he built the computer for me. Also some of my letters of sympathy
sensetive cat21 Sep 2003 19:00 GMT1
Yes Norm  my last cat mate Henry RB,was also my soulmate
and when my legs started to get really bad, Instead of going
to the veranda and whistling for him, I would put a forefinger
to each side of my forehead and imagine I could see him walking
Panic mouse21 Sep 2003 18:55 GMT1
I saw the Panic Mouse just sitting there and decided to see what the
kittens would think of it. I found the wand and a fresh "mouse" and put it
together. They went crazy for it! None of the adults had a chance to play,
Fez and Rufous would not let go of the thing. Unfortunately, ...
after HURRICANE ISABEL!21 Sep 2003 14:09 GMT6
Well, I am back online after 2 days of no electricity resulting from the
pummeling we got from Hurricane Isabel.
Jazz did not talk to me for 2 days, although he was the least affected by
the storm. He had his regular meals, water, litter box cleansing, etc. But I
Pedigree vs Domestic21 Sep 2003 12:04 GMT6
Lois's message about judging the pedigree or the domestic section of a
cat show got me wondering.  I've never really thought about it before,
but when one uses the word "domestic" in reference to a cat (as in
"domestic short hair"), does domestic = mutt (as used in reference to

Shmogg gets an offer!20 Sep 2003 14:17 GMT6
As some of you may know, Mr Shmoggleberry J Cat, esq., has his own e-mail
address (shmoggleberry (at) yahoo (dot) com (dot) au) which he uses to
communicate to other cats and his fans out there in cyberspace. Being a
woeful secretary for him, I don't type out too many letters on his ...
