GENERAL ALERT - virus doing the rounds05 Sep 2003 06:59 GMT2
Check your system for "MSN.Flooder" and delete it.  This is from Symantec's
web site (www.symantec.com) so check it for yourself first.
My computer kept trying to connect to the internet whenever I started the
computer up so I became suspicious.  There might be a file/files on your
Poor Frank04 Sep 2003 07:31 GMT51
I took Frank to the vet last spring for a blood test to check his thyroid
level. I thought then that we wouldn't have to do that for a whole year,
because he was doing so well then. But, unfortunately, lately he seems to
have been losing weight. I can feel his spine when I stroke ...
purr request followup04 Sep 2003 03:11 GMT3
About a month ago I posted a message, requesting purrs and prayers
for Sandra Ashendorf, my boss's wife.  She had to have her colon
(large intestine) removed two months ago, due to cancer.  She was in
the hospital for about 2 1/2 weeks, came home, and then developed
Cat in a bag03 Sep 2003 19:41 GMT15
Nikki loves paper bags. (She likes plastic, too, but I don't leave those
lying around for her.)

Male vs Female Cats03 Sep 2003 06:55 GMT9
This is a really stupid question but here goes....
Does anyone else think there is a difference in the meow of a male and
female cat?....their 'normal' meow that is, not mating call etc.
Just an observation I made and was wondering
Charley went to the bridge today03 Sep 2003 05:12 GMT17
This morning Jim's parents called and asked if we would drive them and
Charley to the urgent care animal hospital, as Charley was in really
poor shape and they didn't want to put him through any more pain.  Rob
and I went with them to the vet (a really cute little lady) and stayed
Bonnie touched me all on her own03 Sep 2003 00:17 GMT8
Ok.  So I had to look back to her records to see how long she's been
with us.  May 17th was her spay.  It seems like it's been a long haul
but I guess not.  She now spends my work days in her own room;
weekends out with everyone else.  She still needs to learn where to

Fez and Rufous: The Raid02 Sep 2003 18:48 GMT6
Like their counterparts Bonnie and Clyde, Fez and Rufous like to work as
partners in crime. I was walking to the kitchen just a couple of minutes
ago, when I saw Rufous sitting on the entrance to the green bathroom. Just
sitting there, kinda looking in, like nothing's going on. He ...
Re; Pirate Voyage Photo Album02 Sep 2003 18:08 GMT1
I added a picture of the Mouser and one of it's crow's nest to the
pirate voyage photo album, in Catslaves.  They show the hoomins boarding
the boat just before launching.  The cats are already aboard and
clamoring for their din din.
Smudge is too nice!02 Sep 2003 16:08 GMT12
Suddenly, Smudge has become a very cuddly kitty. She's always been
friendly, following me from one room to another, curling up in the
general area whenever I settle down, and often lying on top of me if
I'm on my side on the couch, or in bed.
Cheeky's story - long02 Sep 2003 12:47 GMT3
Cheeky was born one of four kittens to a wild cat on a industrial estate
where my partner Ken works, they lived in the long grass and under a disused
old shed, they were very skittish and frightened of people but hunger bought
them out of hiding.
Video clip of Betty02 Sep 2003 12:32 GMT18
I was testing out a camcorder yesterday on Betty and the pet mice.  I
captured the video of Betty into an MPG file, because it shows a
couple of her behaviors that puzzle me sometimes.  She always makes
that murping sound, and she sometimes pulls herself along the lip of
Persia swiped a burger!02 Sep 2003 12:14 GMT7
Wasn't your every day burger.  I make these things with diced water
chestnuts, teriyaki sauce, dry sherry, grated ginger root.  So I broiled
some of these.  They tend to be crumbly.  I had two burgers on a paper plate
on toasted buns.  Set the plate on the coffee table and went to ...
Tucker's Progress02 Sep 2003 12:06 GMT3
Thought I'd bring ya'll up-to-date on Tucker.  Thanks to lots of good advice
and support from Megan I've been steadily making progress with my kitty
rehab case, Tucker.  He's become a very sweet lovable boy and when I let him
out of his cat playpen in the mornings the first thing he ...
