Another round of purrs, please?07 Sep 2003 11:04 GMT31
If the generous kitties of rpca could spare a few more purrs, I would
like to ask for some for a newcomer - my DH has apparently had his cat
magnet on again.
Late last night, DH told me that a stray cat had turned up at the
ANOTHER Purr Request07 Sep 2003 10:59 GMT16
Sorry guys, but....
The mother of a good friend of mine died this morning of
lung/bone/everywhere cancer after being sick for the last 2 years.....she
was only 61.
A message from BlueBird07 Sep 2003 08:25 GMT6
I sent BlueBird your messages, and got this response:
Boy, those brought some gratitude tears..... LOTS of them.  Those people
are special.  Please tell them that of all the people online, the cat
people on this ng are the most special.  They've always been right there
If you can spare a purr or so...another request07 Sep 2003 08:20 GMT21
1.Tucker has panted very easily ever since we've known him and after talking
with Megan I'm going to take him to get checked out by the vet tomorrow --
(hoping to rule out feline asthma or cardiomyopathy) -- it's going to be
hard on the little guy so any purrs would be appreciated. ...
Returning Sun07 Sep 2003 03:14 GMT2
It's been chilly here for a couple of days, but today the sun has returned.
Frank and Nikki hurried to catch some rays on their shelf on the balcony.

Meow-impaired kitties?07 Sep 2003 02:54 GMT5
Does anyone else have meow-impaired kitties?
Cleopatra and Amelia have nice, cat-like meows. Cleo's has a demanding,
imperative tone while Amelia's is a more easy-going pleasant meow.
Tabitha has a pretty well-developed squeak. She only uses it generally
Hand Feeding07 Sep 2003 00:42 GMT7
I feed my babies Science Diet since my vet reccomended it.  Anyone know if this
is healthy stuff?  Also, they've been on dry food only.  Had no idea they
needed a balance of dry & moist.  They hate moist.  Don't know what to do here.
Another question ... made the mistake months ago ...
Tiffany Update: A Breakthrough.06 Sep 2003 19:34 GMT6
I wanted to let you know about Tiffany's progress. As you know, she has been
with us for 3 months now, and last night for the first time she sat on the
bed! Yes, and she actually curled up and went to sleep for almost 2 hours!!
Mia and I are very excited about this because she has ...
Mugged for my lunch06 Sep 2003 18:55 GMT5
Ok, this isn't quite as bad as it sounds :-)
I visit my friend and help with her foster cats 3 afternoons a week
and I have to leave home just before my lunchtime. I have quite a
strict regime for eating - small quantities every 3 hours - to keep my
Giving Pills (with a pill gun)06 Sep 2003 17:51 GMT9
Since their is another post concerning giving pills I thought I would
post this question. I recently bought a pill gun to use the next time I
give pills. Any comments on the usage or tips on the pill gun would be
appreciated. My male cat in particular is hard to give pills to. ...
Signs (OT)06 Sep 2003 15:34 GMT1
Saw a news article yesterday where in Finland the polar bears have
gotten so bad that the government put up signs warning people. Then
everyone complained because on the signs the bears are black on a white
background. "Sillies," they said, "everyone knows polar bears are
Fez and Rufous at TED's tomorrow06 Sep 2003 05:26 GMT6
Fez and Rufous have their second scheduled visit to TED tomorrow for some
shots. They didn't mind it that much last time, so I'm sure they'll be
fine. However, calming purrs are always appreciated. :)

Persia hates Tuna05 Sep 2003 23:24 GMT6
What's wrong with her?  I thought all cats were supposed to love tuna?  I
got her tuna packed in water and put a little in her dish.  She sniffed and
turned her nose up at it and walked away!
Can't say I blame her; I don't care for canned tuna , either.
Can Cats Eat Dog Food?05 Sep 2003 20:36 GMT13
I'll spare you all the long story of what's behind the question, but I
called my Vet's office and got a less than satisfactory answer to the
question.  The person who tried to answer went on about cats needing a
higher protien diet than dogs, since they were carnivors (and what,
Rocky update05 Sep 2003 17:41 GMT4
Just a quick update on Rocky's progress. He's continuing to spend
more time inside. The funny thing is that he used to just come inside
to eat, and now he won't eat inside. I guess he remembers that the
last time he ate inside he was tricked into the carrier and hauled off
