B & C -- A streak of Weasel's .....14 Aug 2003 05:17 GMT3
I was bemoaning the fact that FSP was so silly she sat out in the rain
but it is hard to believe that Bonnie was so silly that she would plunge
into the tub of soapy water again (third time)
I am very careful to close all the doors when I am doing the washing -
OK, I lost it14 Aug 2003 01:24 GMT1
I had a bit of an emotional outburst with Maya this morning.  Let me
rephrase that, I lost it.  Maya decided when Bruiser arrived that I no
longer had the privledge of brushing her anymore.  Never mind that she
liked it and had come to purr as the first stroke of the brush went
Catupuncture?  Cat acupuncture?13 Aug 2003 18:59 GMT10
I think Oliver is a talented acupuncturist.  When I went to bed last
night I felt awful (like I was coming down with something) and had the
start of a terrible headache.  The headache got worse and worse as I lay
there and started bordering on migraine status.  I felt too bad to ...
Sleepy cat13 Aug 2003 17:11 GMT8
My brother's elderly Siamese kitty Samantha has always been fond of
sleeping, and it's not unusual for her to stay in bed for 12 hours at
a time. But yesterday and today things hit a new peak.
Yesterday Samantha spent all day sleeping on the front porch. This
Blow-waving Fluffy SP13 Aug 2003 16:28 GMT2
FluffySP is not the brightest star in the heavens.   It was teeming with
rain this morning but yes yes yes, she wanted to go out badly - and so
did B & C.
B & C lasted all of four minutes before they screamed inside shaking
shaving eyebrows13 Aug 2003 12:01 GMT1
I was reading in "Shrinking the Cat" by Sue Hubbell that according to
Herodotus, who wrote "the Histories", in ancient Egypt when a cat died
a natural death, the inhabitants of that house used to shave their
eyebrows. I was just wondering if anyone knows why these people did
Now and then, I get good neighbors13 Aug 2003 09:54 GMT7
Tonight, we had severe thunderstorms rolling through the area. Some of
them with nickel- and quarter-sized hail.
I got home just ahead of the storms, and went out, looking for ferals
(sounds sorta like a gameshow - grin).
Another Sleepy Cat Story13 Aug 2003 09:44 GMT2
Dan Mahoney's story abut Samantha reminded me of a story my MIL tells.
When their neighbors sold their house and moved, they left behind a cat
named TJ.  TJ took their leaving him in stride, moving into Rob's
parent's carport and making himself at home.  TJ was a gray, scruffy
More job purrs13 Aug 2003 06:34 GMT17
Boy, this is starting to sound like a broken record...
I've posted in the past about my wife's employer talking about making
her a regular employee instead of the contractor she is now, then
telling her that they wouldn't be able to offer her regular
Job Interview Purrs?13 Aug 2003 04:20 GMT11
I just got a phone call from a prospective employer. The interview is
in 24 hours [8:30 Tuesday morning PDT]. OK, the pay isn't quite what I
hoped for, but it's enough for our needs for now and there are good
future possibilities IMO.

Bruiser and the toad13 Aug 2003 03:05 GMT1
I lost sight of Bruiser last night, happens all the time.  I don't stare
at him all night.  I check for him every five minutes or so.  Of course
he was not where he was supposed to be and he had found something
wonderful and strange, a toad.  A really big toad actually.  The toad ...
I have a visitor12 Aug 2003 21:42 GMT32
I have a visitor…
Whilst out cycling tonight, the Unfit Family was pootling along the quiet lanes
of Norfolk when "Meeeeow!!" It ran out from the side of the road. A black and
white cat. We are in the middle of relative nowhere. This is an adult cat which
Job update:12 Aug 2003 17:13 GMT20
Well as you all know, I got a part time job and I start tomorrow.  It's not
quite what I wanted but it will bring something in while I look for the
perfect job.
I had my 3rd interview for a job I want very much.  They said they had 2
