Cats are like babies, only cuter. Also, they are fastidiously clean.

Get a bloody life. Human company is much better, although you may find it
challenging at first.

I hate cats- they smell and sh.t all over my garden.

My cat doesn't like being stroked all the time. Only sometimes. When
she wants. (If a stranger comes up and strokes her she will sometimes
bite/scratch)

Often when I'm snoozing, she approaches my chest purring away. If I
stroke her head, she edges forward and sticks her head under the
duvet. At this point I can not only hear the purring, I can feel the
vibrations. The purring combined with the texture of her fur is really
nice.

If she feels I am not stroking her enough, she caresses my cheek/neck
with the back of her head.

This act makes my heart melt. (I must be such a sucker).

Sometimes she rests on top of my thigh, and curls up into a circle. If
I then call her name or gently stroke the back of her head she comes
up and tries to get under the duvet.

-------

At all other times she is averse to being stroked/touched. I mean you
couldn't just walk up to her and pick her up for a cuddle, for
example.

-------

Her behaviour when she wants food:

she meows loudly / walks and rubs her side against the leg of whoever
is in the kitchen.

When she is then given a bowl of food (from the tin) she sometimes
just looks at it and then walks away. wtf? Other times, she'll tuck
into it.

------

When there is a fly/wasp in the room:

She has to kill it. She will leap up from the floor up against a
window/wall/ door and trap the insect with her claws. She then appears
to eat it. (Er.. gross) I can't imagine insects are very nutritious or
appetizing to cats. I can only imagine she does this because she's
bored?

------

Being friends with other cats

She hates all other cats and will square up to any feline. In fact,
the fur around her face/neck stands up and she becomes more courageous
when I am around. She's a dainty little thing and would easily loose
in a fight against a large male cat, for example. But when I'm there
she'll happily start a conflict (if the other cat comes anywhere near
my front door).

But she's even hostile to other cute little cats. Why is she so
antisocial?

She is really beautiful. I love her so much.
