I don't think it would be a hairball, as these get lodged in the digestive tract, rather
than the respiratory. If you are that worried about her, take her to the vet for an exam.
It could just be that she is breathing a bit faster now because the air is less humid and
thick, therefore a little easier to draw into the lungs.

thanks, she seems doesn't seem to be in distress but it could be the
humidity as even though raining it's still humid

Well.....I just know how badly high humidity affects me and I'm not asthmatic or
anything. It gets very hard to breathe at times and I find myself almost panting just to
draw a breath.
