Who does the PR for cats? People harbor this fantasy that cats are clean,
much cleaner than dogs. Is anyone here naive or dishonest enough to
subscribe to that crock of bull? I could write 5 paragraphs disconfirming
this lie. Mike.

OK, so why don;t you write those 5 paragraphs so we can see where you are
coming from?

Becuase, if you love and know cats at all, you will agree that they are in
fact extremely clean animals, and keep up this cleaniness to the standards
most of humans don;t have.

-They have baths everyday, if not twice a day. (Dog's dont;)
-They cover their wees and poos the best way you provide for them, or if
they go out, so well, you won;t know they've been there. (Dogs don;t)
-Cats find it almost instinctive to go to the toilet in the place you
provide for them and show it to them only once or twice. (dogs would require
serious training)
-Cats will never foul around their food area (unless you give them no
choice)(Dogs don;t have this instinct).

There is probably more, feel free to add.

As you can see, like others said, a lot will depend on what you, as a
responsible and loving owner, provide for your pets. If you can;t be
bothered, then don;t blame the animals. It;s always human fault.

I never saw a cat eat a piece of it's own poop.  That about decides it for
me.
