No worries! They are everywhere on the net.
The kittens are doing great! Bella is being a great momma and comes up with
us on the bed at night and sleeps with us for a bit and then goes to hang
with the kittens and back and forth. I did cut a box so it is about 5 inches
tall, put a towel in it and placed it in the closet where she had them. When
they started to meow, Bella was all over me trying to get to them but she
trusts me when I pet her with them. This is the first time I have ever had a
pet have babies. It is pretty cool.
Questions:
Should I be feeding Bella something different since she is nursing? IF so ,
what?
When do they open their eyes?
What is the best age to consider letting them go to new owners?
I really appreciate everyones advice and will keep the group updated. Last
November I came on here to let you guys know that my mothers cat, Hobbs was
very sick and then died of cancer. We miss him very much.

Best kitten food you can afford.

10-12 weeks at least. How about teaming up with your local humane
society to have them fixed before they are adopted?

Oh no, it's only about 10 days. They are practically runing around at 3
weeks :)

It's a good idea, however, If you are in UK, unfortunately I doubt any vet
will do it before they are 6 months old.

10-14 days is typical age they open the eyes. 3 weeks are getting leg
co-ordination and just learning about themselves and each other. 4 weeks
look out, become little monkey's and climb out of things (I've got 4 that
are 4 weeks now). We're getting the understanding of the litter box but
eating something like kitten food is a very foreign concept. Trying to get
them over to "real" food.
Most shelters here (US) adopt out at 8 weeks - kittens are generally eating
on their own and are litter trained.

It's so beautifdul to watch mother cat and how amazingly she looks after teh
kittens. How many did she have?

It's an amazing experience and make sure you have a camera handy and plenty
of film roles :)

If you can afford Hills Science Plan, get that. Also you can feed her kitten
food which is more nutritious. Let her eat as much as she wants, cos mother
cats can go thin quickly, especially as kittens start growing and demanding
more and more food. Start offering kitten food to kittens at around 3 weeks
old, best dry kitten food dipped in a little water to make it mushy. They
should be weaned off by 6 weeks old, or will put a huge strain on mum.
> When do they open their eyes?
~10 days. The color of the eyes will be different at the begining, then
change to permanent color later.
> What is the best age to consider letting them go to new owners?
8-12 weeks tops, this is the best time for them to bond with new human pets.

I strongly disagree with the use of the word "tops" here. I have known
breeders who won't let go of their kittens until 12 weeks at the
earliest, usually at 16. They only release kittens at 12 weeks if the
new owners already have cats and they prove they can properly supervise
the little ones.
A kitten will bond with humans at any age. Our cat Xoxo came to our live
with us when he was 8-9 months old and bonded just fine. Luna and Maya
(littermates) came at 8 weeks ond (before we knew better), Luna is a
total lap kitty, but Maya won't sit on your lap at all. Basho and Issa
came at 12 weeks old and they are total lovebugs. Fez and Rufous came at
4 weeks old (their mom was run over by a car and we were called to care
for them as fosters but decided to keep them) and are no more loving
than any of the other cats.
The bottomline is, the longer the kitten stays with mom and siblings,
the better socialized he/she will be and the easier he/she will adapt to
a new environment.

Me neither. But that would be great if I can teach my cats to cook up some
stuffed peppers! :-)

If you get yours to learn let me know I could use some tricks on how to get
mine to vaccum and do the dishes.. then I wouldn't ever have to do that
stuff again!

Yep, sometimes I think it would be good to have HUMAN children sometimes so
they can at least help with the housework. <g>

Sounds great to me, Screed. Why don't you demonstrate on yourself so we will
get it right the first time.
