I have the EXACT same problem! Mine is 8 years old and getting worse every
year too. I don't have any advice for you because I don't know what to do
myself. God forbid I pet my dog or hold my other cat. If Moire' (the
jealous one) sees me do that, ,she'll immediately jump on the back of the
couch and try to take a swipe at the offending animal and then she'll lash
out on me. I've got scars to prove it!

sounds more like my girlfriend then my cat. But back to the cat.......ours
had developed a very very very irritating habit of nudging guests out of
their chair/place on sofa to take their place. It's the same cat i posted
about earlier on who goes on starvation diets until she gets the food she
wants. She used to 'pester' my computer, wires, hifi, etc......but she's
learnt the hard way that touching electronics is the surest way to fly
across the room

My jealous Gigi here again and even worse today - as if she knows I'm in the
catroom! She's solid black, pale lime eyes & the runt of a litter of 4. I've
had her & her 2 sisters since birth. Do you think because she's the runt?
I've always given attention to all 3 trying not to show favoritism. Though
she's hasn't deliberately scratched me when jealous, she has "hit" a guest.
Her 2 sisters sometimes ambush her to get even for being an attention hog
and that only adds to her need to be by me! These jealous cats know when
others have your attention --- even on the computer and phone!?! An idea I
heard is that cats raised by human Moms & Dads become more "childish" as
they age? Thanks for the input Kili & Brendon.
