Best suggestion is to look at the companies based Notts or South thereof.
Pet plan & direct line get consistantly good revues.

My Missy is insured with PetPlan, I haven't had to claim as yet though,
fortunately :-)

Tesco do a pretty good one (competitively priced)... although you do have a
claim limit on it.

Hi Lisa,
I have Pet-life, life insurance for my cat, it is a $10 million policy
which only costs me $100,000 a month! It is fully payable on death
unless the cat commits suicide or is run over by a 1997 model chevy
S-10 pickup truck with an anti-lock breaking system and air
conditioning. Whats the chances of that?

Atter years of dealing with health insurance, aut insurance, home
owners insurance I have serious doubts about whether pet insurance
is worth it.
Bear in mind the basic concept of insurance: insurance companies
don't make money paying claims, they make money not paying claims.
If the cat you have had for the last 15 years suddenly needs treatment
today for xxxxx condition, do you want some nameless faceless
person at the insurance company saying coldly your claim
is denied, the insurance company requests that you
put your cat to sleep.
Over the years of your cat IMHO it is better be your own insurance
company. Self insure.....put the money you would pay for
pet insurance into an aggresive mutual fund and
you'll be able to determine for yourself if the cat
needs treatment.

I agree with Amy completely. I am putting $300 a year into a savings
account (about what insurance for my two cats would cost). My cats are
indoor only so I am mainly concerned with illness. Insurance companies
have too many deductibles and conditions. Any "minor" expenses such as
dental and grooming are paid for separately so the "account" keeps
building for anything major that might occur.
