quilterhusband - 02 Apr 2004 11:22 GMT Out old 17 calico female got out tonight and got attacked by another cat. We interrupted before the feral cat could kill her. She is small, deaf and bit senile I think. It 2am and there is not a vet with emergeny in our area.
I grabbed her and brought her in the house and inspected. There were clumps of her fir on the ground at the fight seen. Look like she had a puncture wound in her neck but it had stopped bleeding. She would hiss and growl if we came near her. When she tries to walk, she has much trouble on her back legs although there is no outwordly sign of injury thereImmediately after the fight. After 45 minutes she was not frightened of us any more and we could touch her. She wobbled over to a favorite spot she feels safe in...its dark and confined. We are just letting her rest now and checking every 1/2 hour. She seems to be alert, but just laying with her eyes open. Everyonce in a while will do a pitiful meow and when I appear she stops and settle back down. Im not sure if she is waiting to die or in some sort of cat shock. She wont eat when offered cat snacks.
Any experience with this sort of cat shock?
PS. how does one trap a feral cat?
Victor Martinez - 02 Apr 2004 14:49 GMT > Any experience with this sort of cat shock? Yes, though not due to a cat attack. Make sure to get her to the vet asap.
> PS. how does one trap a feral cat? With a trap. There might be a trap and release program in your community you could work with. Call the local Humane Society to inquire.

So I figured it must be the same for trolls. Their just expressing their anger trolling instead of going out and killin things. Some psychologist wrote something like that.. did some kind of study.
Tina
dinkmeister - 03 Apr 2004 06:14 GMT perhaps, but theres no reason to categorize them with all teen males, unless you have some sort of hatred towards the normal ones too..
just remember, trolls want attention, if anyone responds to their post, it doesn't matter what the reply is, it fuels them to be more trollish. the best thing to do is ignore them - they'll get bored and go away.

Maria Stencill - 02 Apr 2004 21:13 GMT Feral Cats were once pets or are the offspring of pets, they come around our homes looking for food. We created this problem, further cruelty is not the cure. Feed feral or abandoned cats as they are victims, be kind, don't abuse the hungry and neglected. Phone Animal Rescue Organizations in your area, get involved, help the misfortunate animals in your community, don't 'pass the buck'. Normally feral cats will not attack unless threatened as they are fearful and hide from contact. We are Bullies and Killers if we participate in harming our animals. All animals are our wards to protect, stand up and do something about the despicable ways homeless cats are treated. Thanks, Maria at; mstencill@sympatico.ca

It wont be instant, but better then what I originally had in mind.

Maria Stencill - 03 Apr 2004 00:52 GMT Why would you have your own cat for so many years if you're a 'killer/torturer' as stated on your shocking response. Do you shoot people too or just cats? You know, what goes around comes around - try kindness instead. Maybe you're upset your cat is hurt and I can't blame you, hope she's recovering. Hurting the feral cat and worse is a Crime. Why would you do that?

Andy Martin - 03 Apr 2004 01:18 GMT Yeah good one moron.......................and if your cat came into my garden and I decided it was endangering the wildlife that lives there....then I would be quite within my rights to blow your cats head off? NO!............................of course I wouldnt you f.cking retard!
How do you know the cat is Feral? Could just be a large tom and could also be someone elses pet............
What happened to your cat is unfortunate but I would never kill a cat...you are scum for even considering it.
I hope your cat recovers and you die a slow death!

We will be watching from 2nd story window....and just in case have a high powered pellet gun.......hell Ill probably nail it in up the a.s with a pellet to propel it into the death mesh......should be fun....stay tuned!

quilterhusband - 03 Apr 2004 19:15 GMT I waited last night ....anxiously until 1am.....I borrowed by sons Night Owl..night vision and spotted the bastard up the hill coming down the trail to our property so I was properly prepared by the time he got in range......he had great sense of smell.....I could tell from 50 ft away he knew where in what general direction the open can of foot was.....he didn't seem at all suspect of the wire mesh and the easy dinner that was laid out for him........but I couldn't do it......I couldn't plug in the 115ac.....I was to far away and I was afraid I would make noise he could hear though the 2nd story open window....the cat by this time was oblivious and must have not eaten in a while as its bobbed up and down..gorging on the unsuspecting feast.......fortunately....I was able to borrow by brother-in-laws 40/40 shotgun that day.....the gun was previously propped in position and it was a silent and rapid movement to bring stock to shoulder and eye to aim. Normally pitch black, I left the patio light on so when adjusted, my eyes could see fine the target. The cat now had engulfed most of the food and was now licking the can, trying to catch up with it has he pushed it around the wire mesh.........I calmed and slowed my heartbeat and between breaths I timed the trigger pull between heartbeats to better my aim. It was loud, very loud for 1am in our quiet country neighborhood, fortunately, I had previously spoken with all the neighbors who heartily agreed, after suffering their own nuisances with the bastard, with the bastards eradication.
Blinded and surprised momentarily by flash and loudness of the blast, when my eyes recovered, the cat was not on the wire mesh where I expected. The combination of the energy of the shotgun blast pellets and cast surge of survival adrenalin allowed it to crawl some 10 ft away before it finally collapsed. Not dead, chest still heaving, visible even in the dim patio light, but unable to move as its read quarters were a bloody pulp. Not having to be so careful this time, I aimed a leisure and launched the 2nd 40/40 shell and hit is mid course and whatever life was left shortly dissipated. Equally satisfying was scraping it up in a flat blade shovel and dumping it in the garbage can. Fortunately garbage pickup is today so the putrid order of its decomposing body wont overwhelm our celebration party this evening.

Andy Martin - 03 Apr 2004 23:05 GMT You're full of sh.t...you couldnt outwit a cat you fuckwit! Nightvision, shotgun........for a cat! Haha PMSL you lame prick. You and Bush sum americans up for us Europeans..you f.cking redneck hillbilly.....cant you go f.ck your sister or something and leave peoples pets alone? You cant spell and you are obviously compensating heavily for gods cruelty to you..........you say it was your Brother in laws gun...is he also your father or your son?

Besides I saved the City of Irvine,CA,US in my favorites so that I can continue investigating who you are and report you to the Police along with your cat-killing statement. If you're bluffing-and your tail sounds longwinded-maybe study writing eh? No wonder in Europe and Canada you pigs down south give the US a bad name, because you're a sick bastard and what you wish/do to innocent cats should befall you.

It should come in handy to keep other critters at bay too. I might have to buy a shotgun now that I experience how effective my brother-in-laws was.
Good luck wth your pests

A life is gone and the blood will be on his head. Life is sacred all life, it's not up to a sadist to decide who lives & dies.

That sort of thing gets you sent to prison here in the UK..........what if his cat gets out again and wonders onto the pad and ends up fried?
What an arsehole...hope it rains, shorts your little killing device and burns your house down you lame bastard!

Maria Stencill - 03 Apr 2004 06:13 GMT Thankyou Cheryl for the IP address and of course you are right zapping someone's computer is illegal - but I didn't say I'd do it - but someone else may decide to do so on hearing the absolutely illegal cat torture and killing methods of this invasive freak who useless a nice pet site like this as a platform for his hate propaganda. I'll be sure to relay his email add. and I.P. address to the Police and A.O.L. and they can shut him down and cart him off to jail where he belongs. But I do know of a good hacker site that likes fresh email and I.P.'so. Did anyone here see 'Cat Movies' Posting of 3/29/04 from Lea Newton also 'Cat Movies -- TROLL sick sick' of 3/29/04? Take a look if you aren't sick from it. I will post response there too and for sure the sick sick Trolls will be shut down. They are threatening members ...

While she is doing a 100% better then when we first brought her in. She is not doing real well. But given her rate of improvement, we want to give her a chance to get better yet and watch her for improvement hopefully over the next few days. It was a fun party, everyone enjoyed the fact and style in which we dispatched the feral cat, especially the neighbors who have been concerned with it for years. My brother-in-law said I could borrow his 40/40 anytime so I wont be buying a shotgun after all as i would only use it for feral disposal so not worthy of the cost of purchase. I think we have a safe neighborhood now for all our cats, and the tools to keep it safe for some time
