Hello Everyone

My 7 month old kitten has thrown up about 5-6 times since last night, and
has developed a very loose stool.  I will be taking her to the vet in the
morning, since my vet is closed today.  I was wondering if there is anything
I can do to help her out until morning.  Any advise would be great.

Thank you,

Suzy

With-hold food and water until you get her to the vets.  You may try some
water, but if she doesn't keep it down don't give her anymore.  Save a stool
sample (if possible) so the vet can check for parasites.  Did she maybe eat
something she shouldn't have?  If she looks worse later in the day, see
about taking her to an emergency clinic.

good luck

JoJo

Sorry I was just having fun injecting your cat with heroin I didn't
think it would have withdrawls when I quit supplying it. To solve your
problem inject your kitty with 10cc's of black tar heroin it will feel
much better!

How is you cat now Chris? O.K. hopefully. Sometimes milk/cream/cheese can do
it.

She has stopped vomitting but still has loose stools, the vet has put her on
a pill (Metronidazole) for 7 days, and we have to bring the vet a fresh
stool sample to test for parasites.

Thanks

Chris

Did she have parasites? Or is the Vet still unsure of problem. A very ill
cat (intestinally) who cannot hold food down will often tolerate clear
chicken broth and 'oat water'. Cook very watery oatmeal, strained to obtain
& feed the resulting oat-water. This is soothing & healing for the stomach,
liquid can be given  by spoonful, they seem to like or know the broths will
help them. Also yogurt is beneficial and can aid/maintain recovery of
intestinal health, I recommend all cats are given yogurt (as will Vets).
Watch no cat-poisonous substances around and try canned Wellness as it is
all natural has many ingredients to improve intestinal health and no
chemicals or bi-products. I noticed a few of your prev. postings (was it
you?) with Blue, AND the JEALOUS CAT? if so & Blue eats mainly dry Nutro is
no.1 for urinary & intestinal health fed along with canned Wellnes - hard to
beat! Costs but saves in the long run. If your Mom has the Jealous urinating
cat I understand as one of my 3 cats (sisters) is insanely jealous & goes to
extremes when jealous. Takes 'fits' screams & scratches things which causes
the other 2 to pick on her afterwards - like when she's in the litter box -
which made her want to avoid the box. Solutions now have 2 indoor boxes &
3rd yard sandbox  in fenced yard. No more box problems as they can pick &
chose & when not getting along will use alternate box - also jealous cats
have to be trained with mega positive reinforcement - like simultaneous
patting & verbal & playing to show both/all that Ma & Pa love em all!!
Please let us know how your kitten is coming along & I answered your prev.
posts as the issues didn't seem resolved.  Hope your cat is better. Mari!
