Hi all..
I have been looking into getting this vacuum cleaner for months, does anyone on this NG have this? My 2 cat leave hair all over the place and my current vacuum is ok, but I hear this one is really good, but it expensive, but if it does the job, might be worth the money...anyone have any thoughts on this vacuum?

I don't have the vacuum, but it does look like a good machine. I have read
a number of reviews on www.epinions.com -- you might want to check it out.
There are other Dyson models, but this one looked like the best. I read a
complaint on another NG concerning the difficulty of converting to the
attachments on the basic model (not the Animal model).

I've got one & prefer my old Numatic instead.
The dyson is fine on dust & short hair but flicks cat litter everywhere.

Madness! I have just been to a friends house and the bits of kitty litter were on the floor! It must be the most unhygenic place to put a cat litter tray.
Yuck and good grief.
Litter tray in the bathroom, most trays fit beside the loo. My cat managed with that arrangement just fine. And my bathroom is TiNy!

Our litter trays are in the kitchen, though at the end farthest away from
the food preparation. It's the only slightly private (for the cats) tiled
floor (for cleaning) in the house. I don't like trying to get cat litter
out of carpet, and the only other option would be in one of the bedrooms.
I think not.

Our bathroom is laid out so that there *isn't* room next to the toilet, if
we want to be able to stand at the sink.
