something weird that kitty does every once in a while that kinda freaks me
out is, for example if I'm watching tv or using the pc, kitty will sit on
the ground and stare directly at me, and if I look at him, he'll stay
unbelievable still. 10-20 minutes goes by and hes still in the exact same
position and wont even budge. Is it possible that he falls asleep with
his eyes open? If you look at his face while he does this, its like a cold
blank stare as if he was a mere statue of a cat.
Has anyone ever noticed this behavior with their cat before? :)

Yes, I have experienced this, too when Isis sits on top of my monitor.
When this happens you are the victim of a Feline Mind Probe. It's very
unsettling, isn't it?
He is penetrating your brain with Kitty Mind Waves and reviewing your inmost
thoughts and secrets for his amusement or some other more sinister unknown
purpose.
The very worst thing you can do is look back into his eyes. You can end up
locked in the eternal grip of a mind probe.
It has happened to me.

>>Yes. TuTu will sit by me and stare -- she is trying to send me "feed me" thoughts.
Sometimes (just for fun) I stare back. I can win the standoff IF I do
not blink. When she finally blinks, she turns away and the game is
over. What gets me is when she suddenly stares at another part of the
room and there is nothing (that I can see) to stare at.

You play a dangerous game! You'll end up bouncing off padded walls! Mark my
words - they have potent secret brain powers developed over the centuries.
Isis just did a freaky thing which she hasn't done for a long time. It's
about 2:00 in the morning here and all of a sudden I heard that "yowl yowl
yowl" business in the distance. It came closer, closer, and still closer. I
actually got scared!
She was bringing one of my socks upstairs again and yowling!

"Look, Dad, what I caught -- it's really dead now!".

It was my fault for leaving the socks out. I used to think she went for my
dirty socks but these were right from the laundry.
Isis does have her uses, though. When I come in from the cold and my hands
are chilly she makes a great hand-warmer. I rub around in that long haired
fur of hers and warm right up.
Sometimes she makes a great pillow, too! I like to listen to the purring
sounds and inner gurglings.
