I've read these stories and still don't buy it.  Ever since Sars first
came on the scene I've leaned towards a different conclusion.
IMHO China in the wake of Tienaman Square was experimenting
with some form of "mind control" drugs, those drugs
became what is known as SARS.  I have no scientific basis
for this, only observations of how China handled the
outrbreak, how closed they were about investigations,
and how they misled the world about the true scope of
the problem.

In short I don't buy the cats connection.  Sounds too much like
China trying to cover the rear ends.
