Hi folks,

We are getting another cat, since the death of Biggles
(www.1cooperfamily.com ) has left a gaping wound in our family.
We are shopping for a Maine Coon.

I would like to have a go at making some cat furniture and am trying to
get some 3/8th dia. Sisal in the Toronto area.

I saw somewhere that they glue the sisal to the wood. This raised the
questions: Is it better to glue?  What kind of glue (non toxic I would
think)?  What is the best way to apply the carpet if I decide to use it?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

there is non toxic glue.. just check the fine print of the product.

You said your shopping for a Maine coon.  Have you considered petfinder.com
and rescuing an older one?
