My 2 1/2 year old cat has had a watery eye for the last 4 - 5 days. Should I
worry about this or could it be normal cold. any advice. We have introduced
a new kitten to the house hold which is under quarantine. And she did have
the watery eye before the kitten came in.
Thank you
Chris

I don;t know how come nobody replied so far, and I do hope something has
been done about this by now, but if I was you, I'd have the eye checked with
the vet, especially if it has been running all the time. It could a
conjuctivitis, which would probably turn into a colored white or yellow
discharge eventually and will require drops. "Normal cold" unfortunately is
very dangerous in cats and is cold cat flue. It is often a deadly desease
and should be treated asap. Running eyes and strong conjuctivitis are often
first symptoms. Please check the cat with the vet.
Good luck

Thanks for the advise. The watery eye has stopped, it wasn't running all
the time. It was a clear water like tear drop from one eye. I had talked
to a vet and she told me that unless it changed colour not to worry about
it. And since it never did and then just went away. I assume all it well
with her.
Thanks
