Hello everyone,
I have a 3 year of neutered male cat. I adopted him at about 5 months old
from the humane society. Moe is an indoor cat. I have never had a problem
out of him since we got him until yesterday.
We are painting the basement, which is also our family room. Moe's litter
box is located in the basement as well. We started painting on Friday.
Saturday morning Moe urinated in my son's bed. Then later that morning he
went in a houseplant pot right in front of us. We thought he was ill and
took him to the vet. The vet stated that he was just "upset" over the
changes taking place. We didn't move his box or paint the area where his
box is located. Moe also didn't appear to be bother by the paint. He was
his usual nosy self. Has anyone experienced similar behavior with their
cat?
Thanks

IMO If you keep him, his litter box and toys in another part of the
home, it would be much better. Painting can cause a lot of
confusion.I am facing the task and dread it. MLB
