When I came home last evening I found a spot where one of my babies
had bought up some long (About 2 inches) small, round worms.  Anyone
have any idea what type they are and what would cause them?  My babies
were dewormed by Dr. Tinia, their vet, this summer for worms.

I kept them in a baggie and I have to go to the vet's office today so
I figured I would take them and see about getting some worm meds for
all 4 of my babies but was wondering if anyone had any ideas before I
go to vets this PM

TIA

they are round worms.. :) nice name hun?

deworming medication can not get all types of worms.. there are many.. round
worms, flat worms, tape worms, along with many other different types of
parasites.  She probably used nemex or strongid (same stuff different name)
which doesn't get round worms. Now that she's older she'll probably get
drontal..

Don't worry.. worms don't hurt the host for the most part.. unless of course
they are left untreated.

All four of my babies have been dewormed by the vet and I changed all
ltter boxes and washed all the food dishes.

Try asking your vet about Revolution or an alternative worm/flea medication.
It's always a good idea to be extra cautious. Finding the right preventative
medication may be the best solution. Here's some info on Revolution:
Hope this helps,
Melanie
