For those who didnt read previous postings, my cat was in what the vet
thinks was a car accident, his jaw was broken. Now he has been at home for
over two weeks after his surgery, stitches are already off, he still has a
wire holding the jaw together and wont come off for 6 more weeks.
The cat is well enough that he is trying to get out of the house again, and
of course I really dont want him to, I feel bad constraining him to the
house but I dont want him to get hurt again.
Has anyone here every managed to contrain a cat to your own backyard? what
kind of fence would I need? or is there maybe some invisble audible fences?
Im not even sure if those are good for the cat, anyways any input is
welcome.
Thanks.

Keep him in.  Place spray bottles by the doors.  In time he will
adjust to being inside.  Remember, you are doing this for his welfare.
Good luck.  MLB

I neglected to say how pleased I am to hear the jaw is healing.  That
was an awful experience for both of you.  I hope he continues the good
progress and will be a happy cat always.  You are to be commended for
taking such good care of him.   MLB

thank you, kitkat thanks you too, he seems more back to normal everyday,
specially after the pain killers were over, I think they were making him
sleepy.

there is cat proof fencing.. there are several different kinds, but it wont
prevent other animals from getting in, nor from the human animal who might
feel the urge to do your pet harm.  I built my kitties a "cat room" which is
pretty simple, but they can go outside and are protected from stuff.
it looks like this http://www.cdpets.com/enclosure.html but we built it
ourselves in an afternoon.

although don't I wish I could do something like this..

I just sent off for this system for my yard, but can't comment until I
install it next spring:

if you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay for the surgery. My cat also
broke his jaw and needs wiring.
