small scabs

Just inherited my father-in-law cat - small fluffy black with large fast
claws and hiss!! She has lots of scabs which come off with lumps of fur,
skin unnderneath looks dry (from a distance) Anybody have any ideas what
this is caused by ???

Could be fleas, could be a food allergy, could be ringworm, could be any
number of things.. recommend a trip to the vet..

Hi new to group

It could be a flea allergy, one of my cats is allergic to flea bites and she
gets scabby  if I don't keep up with a flea programme

Could be a grass allergy. I never
heard of this until someone
told ,me they're cat had it and
we both got some antibacterial
cream from the vet and IT WORKED!!!! I hope this helps
or your kitty gets her coat back
