My 8mo kitten got into her first cat fight today.  She was let out
back but managed to get into the front yard.  There she ran into
the neighbor's grey cat.  I heard the commotion and ran outside and
chased the other cat away then I called kitty and she came running
and I picked her up and comforted her.

No injuries, fortunately.  Some of you warned me about letting her
out since having her declawed.  I'm going to kick the other cat's
a.s if I catch her around again.  She used to be a nice cat, always
visiting and even coming inside before I got the new kitten.

Its natural for cats to fight because of the territory thing! and you
harming the other cat would be totally wrong!
keep your cat in now you have had it declawed it. otherwise you are going to
have one very injured cat on your hands :-(

When I said "kick her a.s" it was just a figure of speech.  She is
a very nice cat, at least till I got my kitten.  But this is MY
territory, not hers.  I will start yelling at her and chasing her
away when I see her in my yard, perhaps spraying her with water
as well.  And I am not going to keep my cat inside.  All my cats
have always been indoor/outdoor cats and they were all declawed
too.  The neighbor's cat is strange, I see her sitting in other
people's yards all the time.  And there are other cats in the
neighborhood that I see her sitting near to, she doesn't seem to
have a problem with them.  Hopefully in time she will accept my
cat.

What the hell did you have your cat declawed for? & Don't blame that
other cat for anything blame yourself. Do you have any idea how a cat's
declawed? & the after effects the poor cat has to go through? SHAME ON
YOU.! !!

You are the one that needs a kick in the a.s, first you let the other
cat that it's ok to wander over to you house, and even inside. Then you
get a cat and declaw it, go-ahead kick yourself before someone else
does.

Declawing a cat is not done by alot of vets because it is  not just a simple
case of cutting off the claws, but down to the first joint is basically
amputated, so imagine ten toes being amputated. Using their claws is
natural, instinctive to cats. If you want them to not use your furniture as
scratching post, get one for them and teach them how to use it.  Please do
not declaw any other cats in the future.

The second worst cruelty act anyone could do to a cat is declawing. The
first is not worth mentioning but you should be able to figure it out.
