I would say to give them time to be together with you there. Just get
them all together in a closed room WITH yourself and keep a close eye.
Don't pay more attention to one than another. Let them get used to the
sight and scent of each other. If the cat still sneaks up on the dog,
don't lose your cool or punish the cat. Just gently put a stop to it
and put space between them again. They need time and supervision.

Like all animals, they need time to get used each other, and establish the
hierarchy. Cats will no doubtedly rule, and if dog comes too near, he will
get his nose scratched. Don;t worry though, they all learn lessons fast. If
you see them growling/hissing, just divert their attention gently, and use
positive reinforcement: treat them more when they are together with the dog,
and use the bribes as much as you need. This creates a positive association:
food/treats=cat/dog.
Do give resident cats lots of reassurance,a nd don;t only concentrate ona
newcomer. Animals are territorial, and having a new guy on the block could
be very stressfull. The last thing you want is for them to go an not come
back home. So treats treats and more treats.
