I know this is dumb, but are cats
supposed to eat catnip? My
persian does. She would rather
eat it than play with it! Will it
hurt her?

>Yes indeed! I realize this came out wrong.  Yes, catnip is OK for them to eat --
it will not hurt her.  Tonight mycat was feeling a little too wild so
a gave her a sprig of catnp.  It calms her.   MLB

Not that I'm aware of. My previous cat ate it and rolled in the left-overs
and my current one just eats it.

I have a patch of fresh catnip growing that I give my babies some of
maybe once a week and they go ballistics over it.  Have been doing for
about a year or so and it has not hurt them.  As for eating the dry
stuff - I do not know.
