Greetings,

I found a abandoned kitten yesterday and took him home. Now we feed
him cat milk formula, and he's been nursing just fine. However he
haven't defecate yet, and it has been almost 2 days. I tried to
stimulate him by rubbing his rear end ... you know... but so far it is
not helping. What can I do?

I really hope I can take care if this myself, because the vet here is
extremely expensive. Thanks in advance!

Vet first, worry about cost later. I can't stress that enough, it's
really, *really* important. Any worthwhile vet will negotiate costs and
come to some arrangement if you are genuinely short of money. But the
cat's welfare *must* come first.

Please let us know how you get on. How old is he BTW..?

I am in China now, and the vets here works different principles. But I
in
any case, I will take him there this afternoon.

The kitten is very strong and active, eat quite a lot, and pee every
time
i stimulate him. In case anyone is interested, here's some pictures

I'm not sure but he haven't open his eyes yet. One person told me that
he should be 7~10 days old.

Another person took it. I'm not sure who was it.

You really have to keep the kitten warm.  They both are sweet.  You
are very nice to have adopted one.  Let us know how it does.

Thanks for all the help! Now the kitty is fairly health and active,
but still I
have some problems:

1) It is fairly hot here, usually 25C~30C, and I notice when I use
heating
pad to keep him warm, he will not defecate. Does that mean he is
getting
too hot?

2) I feel he is develop too slowly. It has been a week since he came
here
but I don't think he has gain much weight since. Also, he still have
trouble
walking normally and he has no teeth so far neither. Is he normal? And
what is the normal body weight for a 2 week old kitten?

Thanks a lot!
