Space in my house is very tight, so something like this "Kitty
Washroom Cabinet" might be a godsend.

Does anyone have any experience with these, good or bad, or with any
similar product?

(I've been in rentals for several years, but now that I have my own
house I'd like to get a furry friend.)

some cats will not use a covered box

keep the box away from high traffic areas and where their food is

One of my cats is so stupid, she thinks that as long as her front paws are
in the litter tray, she'll hit the target. I think a covered box might
actually help in her case...

I got to keep an eye on one of mine as he pees down the sink hole of
the bath.

Shouldn't be a problem if you run a little water afterwards. Toilet, sink
and bath all drain to the same system. Only thing you'd need to watch for if
the cat tries to poop down the bath drain and it causes clogging.

He did that when I first had him but he goes over the other side of the
fence now.  His previous owner a friend of mine did not provide
adequate litter for him in his apartment block so the cat used the
bath.  I had the cat off him because he was unable to look after him
properly due to personal reasons.

A hell of a sight first thing in the morning. :D

My neighbour has one and it smells bad.  She only has one cat as well.
I fed the cat when they went on holiday and did not like it, also they
get the cheapest litter which does not help.

They will never take advice when offered and yet are always going on
that the cat has a problem with this or that and so on...

That's a nice unit.

Since it might be close to where visitors might go, if you do get something
like that to be used in plain sight, make sure you use high quality litter
to contains smells and as high sided a litter pan as you can fit in it.

Sorry, I thought I had said "thank you" to everyone for the feedback,
but I see that I failed to.

So: thanks for the feedback. :-)
