If'n you're downstairs, and they're upstairs on a hardwood
floor, then two are definitely a herd.

I just adopted a second kittei over the weekend.  My Little Guy
was acting lonely now that I have an office to go to every day
instead of working from home.  I found a really friendly six
month old male DSH from the same foster home that my Little Guy
came from.

I named him 'Skipper'.

(He bit me when I tried to name him 'Gilligan')

He and The Little Guy have really hit it off, romping around the
house together and then curling up together for naps.

Hmmm.  I'm wondering what I've started.  This was the first
morning since I put them together that I was planning on
sleeping in.  They had other plans...  Just before dawn the
Kittei Kombat commenced, and went on for about an hour and a
half, mostly on the bed, with me in the middle.

During the week its not a problem as I'm up before they are.

Maybe on weekends I should leave my bedroom door cracked open so
they can go play rowdy in the rest of the house.

Won't work. They love to rough house on the bed, on YOU. Not the same in the
rest of the house.

I do sometimes get the feeling that they do it for the attention
as the rolling furball does seem to end up pretty much in my lap
more often than not.

indeed.  my two are just the same.  they sound like 10 at times.  i
can only imagine how loud it would get if i were to get a kitten for
the two girls.

How old are they?  A kitten will probably help them stay young.
My Little Guy seems to be reverting to his kittenhood now that
he has a little playmate.

The Little Guy just turned 4.  But if'n I had already had two, I
prolly would have waited a bit for another kitten.

The Little Guy and the new kitten seem to be getting along about the
same way.  There's a lot of chasing each other back and forth, and
Kittei Kombat, but its friendly, no hissing or raised fur.  And they
curl up together to sleep.  They're both very socialable, and both came
from the same foster home.

The kitten surprised me earlier this afternoon by jumping up in my lap
and insisting on attention.  The Little Guy will snuggle with me, but
has never been a lap-cat.

Try herding those qats in any direction and get back to us..here you're
gonna need this here qattle prod..

A friend of ours that lives in the next trailer park was telling us that an
old lady died there a couple of weeks ago..when they went in to retreive the
body they counted about 150 qats and qittens. Now that is a passle of cats
for sure.

They used those humane kittie traps and caught them all over the course of
weeks. One trap catches one kittie. We are lucky here in Raleigh as we have
a No-Kill kittie rescue group. They will keep the kitties until all are
found homes. That is where I have been looking.

But a quadroon could only be four qats. Hmmmm, come to think of it, qats are
rarely seen in any larger numbers. Voluntarily, that is.
