It's not spam at all, I find it quite interesting on occasion. Although I
do agree the posting frequency could be a bit less, maybe weekly.

IMO it is not

Spam = Unsolicited e-mail, often of a commercial nature, sent
indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups; junk
e-mail

it has to do with cats and rescue which this group is all about

It is more annoying he needs to do it once a week or monthly everyday is
annoying

If he is bothering you that much kill file him
