She was happy to live so long with someone who cared for her as
best they could.
All the good things far outweigh the percieved mistakes at the end.
After all, we're only human.
Yes. It's hard to tell when a cat has tooth problems.....We had one that
died of jaw cancer. We didn't even know there was a problem until she
stopped eating. We called the vet immediately, but it was too late to save
her, so all the vet could do was put her to sleep.......Now, with our other
(now 5) cats, we have the vet come by and give them a physical inspection
every year or so.....They just got done pulling two teeth on Smokey, our
ex-feral cat last month......If you can't afford to do that, then inspect
the inside of their mouths at regular intervals. Also feel their bodies for
lumps and rough spots regularly, and watch for changes in their eating and
potty habits. Cats are not good at letting you know when they are hurting.
