In what seems to be five hundred times a day (not that I am complaining!)
my cat rubs his nose on my nose to say hi.  While I am working at the
computer, reading, watching tv... you name it.

Now a couple of times a week he gives my nose a gentle little bite between
rubs.  What gives?

It's a sign of affection. Wait until he starts kneading.

Oh, he's kneaded since he was a kitteh.  He's six now and still does it
sometimes.

Big Mama is 14 years old and still kneads...and does her "circles"
before she lays down.

Strangely enough, the funniest thing she does though is exceedingly
rarely ever seen by me though...she won't do it if anyone is watching.

I'll be inside sitting on the sofa, and she'll be outside on the deck;
when all the sudden I'll hear the pitter-patter gallop of her paws
running the length of the deck....back and then forth again as if
for no reason at all.

I call it; "chasing ghosts", because there is absolutely nothing on
the deck she is chasing.

It's just funny to hear her gallop though....just like a horse would.

My cat does the same thing!  He also "digs" the comforter or sofa cushion
before circling and settling down.

For Deetoo, I call it doing her 'circle dance' alternating with single,
double or triple reverse moves before she does a little hop in the air and
flops down on her side.

Gentile biting as a sign of affection is common with cats......Just be
thankful he isn't a tiger!

It took me a minute but that was comedy gold.

My cat will not do a bris.

No kidding!  Of course, he thinks he is a tiger...

As near as I can tell, (from watching animal planet specials) house cats are
closer to tigers (personality wise) than to any other big cat.

Yeah, but tigers don't hop up and plop down on your keyboard when you're
trying to work on the computer.

Just be grateful; I wish mine would move on to that stage. :)
