Hello Guys,
I have a cat that uses the litter box for most of her adult life and
within the past several weeks she is using the areas outside the litter box,
the rug near the box and the outside of her cage where the box is. She
doesn't want to use the box once in awhile but not all the time. What could
this be?
Thanks,
Leonard

Well, Lenny, I've given this a lot of thought. What it is is sheer
perversity. Your cat is a dirty little beast that needs a large,
hobnailed, steel-toecapped boot shoved right up its arse. Hope this helps.

I'd be more than happy to try it on you to see if it works. Of course, I'll
have to dump your body in a dumpster, but from I've seen, no big loss.

It doubt it would work. You're the type that talks a whole bunch of
hard sh.t on a computer keyboard but if you were to get a real smack
across the face then you'll threaten the person with lawsuits and
police action.

Last person who attempted to "slap" has a new front tooth. Why are you
defending a troll anyway?

Hi Leonard,
It is a sure sign that your cat is unhappy about something. That
'something' may be a change within your home, such as a new baby, new pet,
new property or scent ........... or it may be that your cat is unwell and
needs a vetinary check-up. If the latter, don't delay.
Of course, it may be something simple like her needing a bigger or deeper
litter tray due to her older, stiffer joints. If there aren't any obvious
changes at home, do please take her to the vet. Cats are the cleanest of
animals and she will be upset herself that she is doing this. The fact that
she has persisted with this behaviour for several weeks, means you need to
act ... she is telling you in the only way she can that something is wrong.
