My kitten is so much fun to watch! She just bounces all over the
place all day and night. Right now she is playing with a toy
mouse, attacking it and tossing it around with her paws. She has
several other favorite toys, several bell-balls, a fishing-pole
thingy, and a tuft of rabbit fur that she will spend hours
attacking without getting bored. Then she conks out, stretching
out on my chest and purring away while I pet her.
How long until she outgrows this? I wish she would stay a kitten
forever, but I know eventually she will become a cat with the
typical "leave me alone" attitude.

Let's just say if you have ever thought about getting that camcorder, now is
the time!
As others said some cats don;t really stop behaving like kittens, but the
fact is, some do. My two girls have calmed down, and rarely play, but they
are very cuddly. But they do have their 5 minutes, at least once a day. My
boys play more though, and Tigger is an absolute show to watch, especially
when chasing flies. So it all depends really, how they turn out. But just in
case, take as many pics as you can, and get that camcorder out and use it!
It's a great moment(s) to savour.

Yeah, what everybody said.
I've got two cats now. Two and a half years old. One of them still loves
to play, he'd rather play than eat. Although he doesn't play as much as he
used to, but he is much more fun to play with, because we have deveolped
several very sophisticated and somewhat complicated games we play with
cloth mice and pencils. We take turns, he knows when it's my turn and when
it's his turn, stufff like that. He has trained me to underwstand when he
wants to play. He has a certain sound he makes (Mee ow, in a steady tone,
not demanding but very certain of what he is trying to say), and if I don't
respond he will come and do it in my ear, and if I am reading a book he
will come and sit on the book and look me square in the eye until I give
up.
The other doesn't play that much anymore. I'm not sure why, but I don't
mind because she is so intersting and we communicate about the important
things in life and have long serious conversations. Cats have amazing
minds and they do learn and grow wiser as the age. They are such miracles.
Take pictures.

Kittens are certainly better than TV sets. Kicking my TV set when in a rage
always resulted in it breaking.... kittens are MUCH more robust
