I just want to say that the media is doing their job on this one.
Without overly sensationalizing what is of course a ghastly situation,
they are keeping the public informed.  Each new voluntary recall and
each new finding (or lack thereof) is getting out there daily.

BTW, I just watched a TV interview with a veterinarian who cautioned
against the "backlash" of turning to home cooking, for nutritional
reasons. She recommended using organic brands of pet food.  Honestly, it
would surprise me if organics are any less vulnerable to similar
problems, but maybe they are safer.  My thing is just to avoid products
that have wheat gluten in them for the time being.

Did she give you a list of acceptable brands? - If so, I would be glad to
get it, and buy them for my cats. Like you, I just want to be sure that I am
not poisoning them......

Here is a site that lists foods NOT on the recall list.  I realize this
isn't exactly what you requested, but it's as close to your request as I
know.

Thank you....It is just what I was hoping for....Of course, they can't
guarantee than one of those won't suddenly become, "promoted" to the list,
but it is something to go on, especially since the reasons are given in
their description of the food.....
