I've noticed several postings on what people are feeding their cats in
order to avoid commercial pet food. To those of you who are feeding
canned tuna intended for human consumption, I've read that it is harmful
to cats when fed exclusively, but that the occasional can of tuna is
fine. Sorry that I don't remember the reference, but you can do a
search if you're interested. It might have been a missing ingredient
rather that a toxic one--don't remember. Check it out, though, if
you're using tuna in your cat's diet. Thanks.

The mercury content is the problem plus it is missing taurine a vital part
of a cats diet

Well, I have given my cats small little pieces of tuna made by Chicken of
the Sea. They seem to be fine so far.
I would like to have some vet opinions.
My warning about tuna made for humans is:
Human tuna contains MERCURY! How about that s**t!
I wouldn't eat mercury for my life! And I wouldn't let my cats eat it,
either. That's why I stopped giving them(my cats) tuna.
Loving cats always,
