Hello All,
I have a one-year-old half-siamese female cat, and she's been acting
very odd lately.
It seems that her rear end (not sure exactly what though) is
sensitive, so she sits in a way not to apply pressure there. Basically
she would sit like cats normally do on all fours, except with her rear
end raised off the ground.
She's not eating like she used to, and she's in pain. The last time
she had these exact symptoms, she was constipated and it went away.
However, this time she excretes both feces and urine just fine.
There are no vets in the region that deal with cats and dogs - just
horses and cows and chickens and pigs.
Can anyone please advise on how to identify the problem and begin to
help her?
She lies on her back at times and asks me to rub her stomach. When I
get close to the rear end, her legs start to shake and tense up, and
she makes noises.
She's not pregnant, nor has she been spayed/neutred.
Please advise!!!

It sounds like she is in heat.

OMG - your'e right.
You have no idea how relieved I am! I've never had a non-spayed cat
before, so I had no idea it looked painful.
I'm reading up about it now, and that's exactly what's up.. same exact
symptoms.
Thank you so very Mike, I've been going out of my mind here!
The scary thing is, the raised-posterior position and the quivers were
the same exact symptoms she had a couple of months ago when she had
severe constipation... Funny how these things work!

Yep, but this isn't America. I miss Chicago with the hundreds of vets
wherever you go.
I'm in Jordan, in the middle of farm country. I've been to the "big"
vet, and he says he can give antibiotics and vaccinations, but nothing
more...
I've been calling the Vetrinarians Union and the Ministry of
Agriculture for info on Vets near here... .but believe it or not I
still don't have one!! :(
I'm still looking though.... God I feel like sh.t!
