Well, folks, I have had had a couple of acquaintances from China that I
really valued, respected, and enjoyed their company.  I adore Chinese
cuisine.  I used to prepare it myself, until my husband learned to do a
better job of it that I did.  But I'm here to tell you that I trust
Chinese products as far as I can throw a piano.  The last food I bought
from a Chinese grocery store (in the US) was pasta with dirt in it.  I
don't mean dirt WITH it, I mean dirt right in with the dough that the
noodle stuff was made of.  Their quality control is nonexistent.  They
don't care.  And I believe they would export unsafe products without
caring.  The rat poison was not the result of tampering, it was the
result of the Chinese protecting their wheat from vermin so they could
sell it, without considering the health consequences.  The #1 thing we
can do to protect ourselves is to not import anything edible from China.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

To be honest I don't think Chinese people care about anything except for
their own business, and I've come to this conclusion from working with
them for the past 11 years.  Sure I know a lot of people from other cultures
have a bit of selfishness, but a Chinese businessman cares about as much
for his friends, other people and their wellbeing as a heroin dealer cares for
their clients.

I go along with that. Until the Chinese start cleaning up their act, and
instituting the same standards and controls that we have, and/or our
government's pure food and drug administration starts doing it's job, I
think we should boycott all foods imported  from China. And let everyone
know why. (loudly and belligerently)
