I just read that a class action against Royal Canin was launched
in Toronto. Apparently they were shipping foods to high in Vit D.
I have been unable to find a list of foods affected, does anyone
here know more about it?

They put a posting on their website, at http://www.royalcanin.ca.
This was something that happened on only 7 wet diets in their vet
channel last year in early 2006. Funny how it's popping up now. The
media can be terrible!
I was so happy with the way Royal Canin handled their recall last
year. My cat was sick for a while after eating one of the diets, but
got better within a few weeks and the company covered all my vet
bills. Since then, no problems at all. I've been feeding RC ever
since
and my cat loves it. My dog (a German Shepherd) has done so well on
their retail breed diet, it's unbelievable. I am appalled at how the
media twists facts for a 'juicy' story.

From what I've read, it was SUPPOSEDLY only 6 or 7 canned foods that
were only sold by veterinarians. (Google this for info). However, up
until this week I was a long time R.C. customer, & my gut feeling from
dealing with them this week is that they are currently covering up
SOMETHING; at minimum they're playing corporate cover thy rear politics.
Their very unopen communications style has cost them at least this
customer. They refuse to comment as to whether menu manufactures any of
their foods.
