To All,

HAILEY, Idaho - A house cat attacked its owner, sending her to the hospital
by ambulance with more than 20 bite wounds.

What went wrong?

It sounds like it was midirected aggression.  The cat attacked when another
woman showed up at the door with a cat in her arms, mistakenly believing
that it belonged to the woman who was attacked.

Yes. Kitties can at times be unpredictable when their emotions get
going.
Some cats are 1 owner cats, they won't tolerate another cat around
thier owner, especially the same gender.
And a portion of those will go into attack mode, and attack any 'body'
who
comes near them...aka: misdirected aggression.
That kitty is going to fight, win, lose or draw is not the motivation
at that point,
it's just all about the fight.

Obviously, the cat owner make an uninformed decision with regards to cats.

Hopefully before she takes on a human life, she will to some thinking.

Perhaps the owner should have taken some time to educate herself when it
comes to cats?
