Big Mama wakes me up to go outside for a bathroom run.
20 minutes later, she comes back inside.
Mind you, I'm still in bed and won't be getting up for another 2-3
hours,
but I'm laying there and may be doing work on the computer and/or
watching TV.
She has the whole place to lie down where ever she wants...
but noooooo.....she has to stare at me with those big green eyes
as if saying "if you don't let me lie down next to you, I'm going to go
back outside, and then I'm going to want back inside in 10 minutes
and see if you've changed your mind. Plus, I'll do it as many times
as it takes" look on her face (and she will do it multiple times).
She will refuse to lie down anywhere else unless it is directly next to
me,
and if I don't let her, the doorman rountine begins.
After 10 minutes of being outside, she will go to the window where the
bed
is, and begin crying, scratching, jumping, running, anything to get my
attention,
to come back inside.
Once I let her lie down next to me, she'll just sit there and purr like
no tommorow.
Don't have to pet her or anything.
The funny thing is; even as little as 10 minutes of her lieing next to
me satisfies her,
and she won't bother me again after that.
Damn cats, they're master manipulators.

Isis, too, thinks of my mind as her personal playground. Our routine is
similar. As I shut down the lights in the house and get ready for bed she
wends her way downstairs to my bedroom. I have a track light directly above
my bed and she centers herself precisely in that 'hot spot'. This is very
inconvenient for me because I sleep on the right side of the bed where the
light shines. I can move her to the other side of the bed as often as I care
to but she immediately comes right back.
We watch tv for a little while before I get ready to sleep. At that point I
take her back upstairs to her specially heated den where we part company
until morning due to the fact that she is a horrible bed hog and requires
her own sleeping quarters. I decided to let her sleep on my bed the other
night because my sister was gone from her upstairs lodging and I knew I
could leave my bedroom door open and have a nice, quiet night. This is a
treat for you, Isis.
After about 15 minutes, after some noisy explorations of the items in my
darkened bedroom, she left and went back upstairs to her personal kitty
nest.
I don't know what to do to please Her Majesty. The rules constantly change.
How can I be of service if the rules are different every day? You can be
grateful that your Rule Book is relatively consistent, for now.
