I have been brewing my own ale and when I fall asleep my tom is finishing
off what is in the bottom of my glass.  He has been down in the basement as
well licking up the slop's and sipping out of the barrel.  The other day he
was to wasted to walk straight and could not get over the fence.

I am going to have to stop him before he becomes Alchoholic.

The cat I had twenty years ago liked beer. I found it out one day when I was
having a cold one and decided to put a little beer in the lid of a jar. He
lapped it up in ten seconds flat. Every time after then when I'd open a beer
and he heard the fsssst noise of the bottle cap opening, he'd come running
for some beer.

One of our cats comes running at that noise too - but not for the beer, she
wants the bottlecaps!!!!  We throw them and she fetches them!

We had a St Bernard dog as a command mascot, when I
was in the military.  The guys thought it was quite funny to
get the dog drunk and see it run into chairs, tables, walls,
eventually falling over on its side and panting heavily.   And,
as you noted with cats, the dog became addicted to alcohol.
We had a beer lounge on the top floor of the barracks in
Germany, and the dog would hang out there and beg drinks.
Looking back now, it was a stupid thing to do, but that
was way back then, we were young, in the military, and
overseas.

WHOA!!!

A cat's liver is not designed to handle alcohol

I have a sneaking suspicion you might be a troll but if you are not
then NIP THIS IN THE BUD RIGHT NOW!

Nip it in the "BUD"? Why not the "COORS" or the "MILLER"?

Sorry, couldn't help it.

What we have been drinking would take the backside off a concrete elephant,
no more for him though.

I assure you Lesley I am no troll, I have nipped it in the bud but he is sat
outside the door to my basement crying to go down there, he has been showing
off by knocking things off shelves, but he has been on a dry since I last
posted.

I am going out later to buy him to some fancy food to take his mind off the
ale.
