Test failed - posted in wrong group.  Use alt.test.
Heather-ette - 03 Sep 2006 21:26 GMT
Yeah. sorry about that...

I got it now.

Does anyone know of any groups that aren't full of spam? It's annoying.

Yeah, these ones where your test posts are actually spam. It's annoying.

Maybe you should also "get" that posting binary pictures to non-binary
newsgroups is also spam, just like the pictures you've just posted.
Heather-ette - 03 Sep 2006 22:47 GMT
You don't have to be a jerk. This is the first time I have used this... I
didn't even see the pic's post which is why I did it twice.

Apparently, you learned fast enough to send me a private email and yet here
you are claiming ignorance.

Let me see now.
1) You claim to be uninformed about where to place test posts. You found
this group fast enough.
2) You don't know that it's customary to post binary (picture files) in
binary newgroups only.
3) You didn't hesitate for one second about emailing someone privately with
critical comments even though you're the one making all the mistakes.

I guess it's obvious, you're a troll in the making and not bright enough to
realize that if you're as new and ignorant as you're claiming, that it's
prudent to take your time, maybe ask a few questions and observe general
behaviour before you showing yourself to be a total fool as you just have.

Considering that you emailed me, I now have your email address and if I was
really vindictive, I could post your email address to a few dozen spam sites
and have your inbox and email name flooded inside of a few hours.

Care to continue your attack HeatherM?

What is your problem?

The private message was a mistake. No, I am not ignorant. Nor am I a
computer nerd. Like I said before I just started using this program
yesterday, completely new at it and wanting to try it out! It seemed
different from the forums that I have used in the past. I don't even know
what binary means regarding to how you are referring to it. And, like I said
before, I didn't know that posting a picture was not allowed.

It seems to me that you have taken offense to me calling you a jerk, which
is why you wasted your time on a long drawn out email about how and why I am
so ignorant. It's a forum and there's no need to blow things out of
proportion unless, like yourself, you simply have nothing better to do.

The post was merely a mistake as there is no "newsgroup manual" on microsoft
outlook and then someone with no life had to come along and make a big deal
of it. Instead of being helpful, you insisted on being a jerk. I do not wish
to continue my so-called attack, as I was not the one to start anything in
the first place. And by no means am I a fool. I find it quite comical that
you insist so much on calling me "a fool" and "ignorant" when you have no
idea of my character or personality. You insulted me to begin with,
remember?

You're the problem. You're new and making mistakes, but refuse to take any
type of responsibility for them. And yes, you're ignorant. Anyone else
that's been in your position would ask some questions, look and listen for
awhile. You're preference is to defend your actions to the point of calling
me a jerk because I pointed out some of your mistakes. You simply don't have
the patience or capability to watch and learn.

Of course, none of this is your fault. It's the fault of everyone else here
who already know what they're doing.
Kelly - 04 Sep 2006 18:29 GMT
You are entitled to your opinion. I apologized on the board immediately
after posting and instead of accepting that, you insisted on making rude
remarks toward me. Doesn't saying that I was sorry suffice for taking
responsibility? You're acting like I killed someone. This is ridiculous. I
shouldn't have replied to you at all feeding into your lame name calling
game. I'm done with this now.

With all due respect, there are occasions when using a test group is not
appropriate. Some time ago I had a problem which would allow me to post to
some of my subscribed groups but not others. The only way to find out
which groups I could access and which I couldn't was to post to them.
Posting to a test group would not have helped.
