That is a Cornish Rex. My sister has one. When people come and see it they
always say, "What is that??"
When you see one for the first time you conclude that is a mix between a
space alien, a muskrat, and some kind of super mouse. Dukie, the Cornish Rex
that lives upstairs here, walks around like he is slogging through molasses.
He goes everywhere and climbs on *everything*. "NO" means nothing to him.
"GET DOWN" means nothing to him.
He is super affectionate to any living thing that walks in the house. He
goes right up and rubs against anyone's legs. He's the goofiest cat I've
ever seen. His fur is 'bristly' and short. His best pal in the whole world
is Milo, my sister's short-haired Tabby. They run around together, sleep
together, and play play play.
No kidding, now, this is one weird looking cat! I think I read somewhere
that the breed started when they were discovered in a barn in Cornwall,
England in the 50's. I don't know if that's really true. If it is, it's
proof positive of alien visitations.

Here's a Google video on this cat.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7096440478203872506&q=cornish+rex&hl=en
If you're thinking of getting one pay close attention to this video. The
girl says they're an "everybody cat". Oh, yes! They are all over ANY person.
Understand, also, that they will climb on ANY table or surface in your house
and are *completely oblivious* to any form of "NO". Isis, my long-haired
Tabby, will run for cover when I clap my hands at her if, for instance, she
gets up on the stove. A Cornish Rex will completely ignore you like you are
some noisy thing that isn't even there. They love to play. They'll play
forever. They'll play with the sparkly thing in the video or play with a
string or play with a laser light. You can rub their tummies or scratch
their fuzzy ears any time you want. They get flabby skin rolls if they put
on a couple of extra pounds.
If you like weird and want weird, this IS the cat for you!
