The following is true and not exaggerated in any way.

I have a sleeping disorder and sleep for short periods and frequently
dreaming, for years I dreamt of cats but could never figure out why ( I am
now 41), while growing up my family did not keep cats and were not great
fans of cats (toiletting in finely tilled soil etc.).  I dreamt of large
cats, small cats, different colour cats (blue, green) and very often talking
cats.  Then just just over four and a half years ago I decided to get a cat
and guess what, the dreams stopped and I have not dreamed about cats since.
I now have two cats.

Dreams can be strange don't you think.

Sleep apnea?  Are you on CPAP?

Yep.  You needed a cat badly.

I LOVE this, Mad Dog.  Yes, dreams can be strange, but in your case they
were only you trying to tell yourself your heart's desire.  This is
often the case.  I think that living with cats might even help your
sleep disorder. Do you notice any improvement now as compared with
four-and-a half years ago?

I had a similar experience.  I used to dream of swimming pools.  I was
always trying to find one which was hidden.  Sometimes I would look in a
closet and there was a beautiful pool.  I'd get in and swim, swim, swim.
This went on for years.   Then I sold the old home and moved i to a
developing condominium.  After the first year there a beautiful swimming
pool was built.  I would go swimming once or twice a day in the summers
and never had a dream about pools again.   MLB

Yes, very similar to Mad Dog's dream, isn't it?  I simply love to hear
of dreams come true--they really do happen, and then the dreams aren't
needed anymore.  Cool!
