I realized something today. I'm preparing my house for sale and really
working hard on stuff. I have a million details to attend to. While I was
doing that today I saw Isis sitting comfortably in her kitty nest having
eaten half a can of freshly opened chicken flavor food. She was just sitting
there half gazing off into nowhere somewhere in the netherland between sleep
and wakefulness.
Then it hit me. Having a cat is like serving royalty. It's just like having
Queen Elizabeth at my house 24 hours a day. I have a Queen here and she
requires service. I give her that service. I feed her, I amuse her, I
scratch her ears and she agrees to watch tv with me. I scooch over at night
so she can flop underneath the lamp in the ceiling that gives all the
warmth. When she wants to play 'chase me', I play chase me. I'm like a
butler or a court jester or a coachman. I give service and attention to this
animal and every day I scoop out a litter box to boot.
This has been going on for like six years. I just wanted to say all this.
Thank you.

You now know exactly what it is like to be a slave to a cat.
Dogs have masters, cats have staff.
