Recently I was transfered by work for a month and a half up north.
Luckily, I was able to move in with family, and so my little Marziale
and I packed up and headed up. However, since coming her her appetite
seems to have dwindled significantly. She has already been to the vet
here (I am staying in my mother's basement appt rather than go
searching for a new appt for just a month and a half, and therefore was

able to go to the vet that we brought all our animals to growing up,
therefore I know and trust), and the vet said that she appears
prefectly healthy. I am still worried though, because she appears to be

only picking at her food. Back home she would eat this food like it was

going out of style, I know she likes it. Is it just that she isn't used

to the new surroundings? Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to
encourage her to eat properly again? Please don't waste your time with
negative posts on here, as I said, she has already been to the vet, who

said that she was ok, she is eating, just not as much as she used to. I

am simply looking for positive advice to try to make my baby girl
happier.

What kind of food do you feed her wet or dry if it's dry try adding a little
wet food with it and if it's wet food try using a different favor of it. If
these don't work it may be the new place you have moved to. Did you use a
special bowl to put her food in before you move if so and you do not have
that bowl now she may miss the bowl itself.

She eats a breakfast and dinner of wet food, with dry food available to
eat all day long. I brought her bowls with me, so she's eating out of
them still. She's always been picky about what flavours of wet food she
would eat to begin with has settled on only really like White Fish and
Tuna and the Salmon flavours. Makes it hard to change it up to try to
get her eating...lol.... Thank you very much for your suggestions. I am
heading out now to see what new flavours of food I can bring home for
her to try. Anything for my baby lol, I'm sure you know how it is :)

Yes I do know how it is my babies only will eat the dry cat food from
wal-mart called Special Kitty and it has to be in the green bag they seem to
like the special kitty small wet food sofar.

Most likely she's probably still unsettled from the trip and the new
surroundings. She just needs a little time. You might try putting her wet
food in the microwave for a few seconds, bring it just above room
temperature to "tasty warm", not steaming hot. My cat won't have anything to
do with anything but his dry, crunchy kibble but my neighbor does this for
her sweet old cat when she went off her food. Now she gobbles up anything
that's warmed for her.

Just a thought,
Val
