It has been a couple of years since I lost my pet and I had her for
23yrs and now I am thinking of getting another cat. I would like to
get a rescue cat but do not know where to go can anyone hlep? Thanks

Contact your communities animal control agency, they will likely have
information on animal shelters & rescue agencies. Also your community
probably has an office of Humane Society, or Society for Prevention of
Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and they can help you find such a place (if they
are not actually running one themselves).

If you're in UK, contact Cats Protection League or Blue Cross. They always
have animals needing homes.
